At Bally Studios, we specialize in creating exquisite pieces influenced by traditional Japanese pottery. Founded in 1994, our studio draws inspiration from the rich cultures and design motifs of Japanese and North American Indian potters.
At Bally Studios, we believe in the power of custom ceramics to transform everyday spaces into works of art. Our diverse backgrounds in art and design and countless hours of research and experimentation ensure that every piece we produce is one-of-a-kind.
Three Decades of Excellence in Art
BALLY STUDIOS was founded in 1994 and has been greatly influenced by the cultures and design motifs of the traditional Japanese Potters as well as the North American Indian Potters. Along with a diverse Art and Design background, these influences are reflected in the design and finishes of Virginia's and Andre's work. This fused with long hours of research and trial and error testing makes each piece they produce completely unique.
Virginia Bally received her Associates Degree in Fine Arts, with honors from North Harris County College, after winning a Fine Arts Scholarship on the strength of her ceramic work and being featured in the 1991 Juried Student Art Exhibit.
Andre Bally has been researching and experimenting with ceramics for over thirty years.
Together they have pieces on exhibit in private collections in Canada, Europe and the United States.
Bally Studios has participated as an exhibitor in the Westheimer Art Colony Festival in the Spring and Fall of 1994, the Spring and Fall of 1995, the First and Second Annual Galveston Art Festival and the Bayou City Art Festival Fall 1996.
Bally Studios also participates as an exhibitor at the Galveston Art Center in Galveston and the Sable V Gallery in Wimberley, Texas.
This Web Page has been set up specifically as a forum for discussing methods and materials and as a way for Virginia and I to get feed back on what we are currently working on.
We appreciate your time, consideration and any comments you wish to offer.
